  1. 2008 Team Trip to Germany. We currently have $6,125 in the bank set aside for out trip. For a team of 15 players that would only amount to about $400 per player. We probably need two-three times this for players to go free. We need to pick up the fundraising efforts since we only have one more fall-spring season this fall and then we revert to spring seasons only. A suggestion was made by Dave Wenskoski to pull together a committee to focus on fundraising. Erica Parin volunteered to set up a canshake in May. The canshakes have been extremely successful with minimal effort required. Sponsors are another great way of getting revenue. Each player in the future will be expected to bring in one sponsor per family. We ask for $150 (minimum) from our business sponsors and $100 from our individual sponsors. For this the sponsor receives a thank-you note with our tax-id, advertising on our website/sponsor board and a plaque.

  1. GAK Coaching Staff: John Indyk has been named assistant coach starting in the spring season. We have the ability to card up to 4 coaches per year. Todd Ranson declined a carded coaching position but will continue to assist at practices. We welcome any others who would like to help. In order to coach, you need to commit to the following: 1) Completion of an F license course 2) You need to be a member of the German American Society 3) You need to commit to a full year of soccer – both indoors and outdoors. Please see Paul or Rick if you are interested in coaching. No experience necessary.
