FC GAK 1992 Soccer 2001 - 2011

Coach's Corner

Everyone,

I want to thank all the players for all their hard work in making this 2010 Spring U-18 MAPS season our most successful season ever. We finished in first place overall of 55 teams in MAPS U-18 which is quite an accomplishment. It would never have happened if you would not have shown the committment you have shown to the team since we got together back in November of 2009.

I want to wish all our players the best of luck in their upcoming High School or College Seasons. Please make sure to send me your schedule so I can come see your games. I want to thank Coach John Indyk for all his invaluable help over the years as well.

I hope that you able to learn a few things about soccer and more importantly about discipline, commitment and respect for your coaches and fellow teammates. We were able to field a full squad every weekend since March 2010 and it helped us with our final MAPS record of 8 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties...and wouldn't you know it we lost our only other game to the only other German club in the table Vereinigung Erzgebirge.

I want to thank all the parents for their patience and support over the years. I know things were not always rosy and I am not the easiest person to get along with, but thanks for hanging in there until the end. I also want to thank the many sponsors of our team which will permanently stay on our website. Without their financial support, playing on our premier level club might not have been possible for some.

I am hoping to use this website as a means for us to stay together over the upcoming years. I will hi-lite some of our accomplishments and games here as well. If you have any special memories or news that you would like listed on the website, please send them. Who can forget our 1:10 loss as U-10's against America's United, Our 9:0 first State Cup win against STA Rampage this season, our trip to Holland/Germany in 2008, the many tournaments we participated in through the years. I'll have fond memories of these times and I will miss all of you. Please don't forget the club in the future and help out when you can. I wish you all best of luck in your future and never forget FC GAK 1992.
